Saturday's Ligue 1 predictions including Lens vs. Montpellier

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Lens vs. Montpellier.

Lorient vs. Reims (Saturday, 4.00pm)

High-flying Lorient will go in search of a seventh consecutive victory in Ligue 1 when they welcome managerless Reims to the Stade du Moustoir on Saturday afternoon.

Les Merlus came from behind to beat Brest 2-1 last weekend, while the visitors managed to hold 10-man Paris Saint-Germain to a goalless draw.

We say: Lorient 3-1 Reims

Losing key midfield enforcer Abergel has put a slight dampener on Lorient's mood, but welcoming Ouattara and his four goals and five assists back to the first XI spells even more success for the in-form Merlus.

Reims performed valiantly against PSG and can expect some joy in front of goal versus a Lorient backline that is far from impenetrable, but Le Bris's side have been almost unplayable at home and possess the required firepower to storm to a seventh consecutive win, and with it, a historic spell at the top of the table.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Lens vs. Montpellier (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Lens and Montpellier HSC will both be aiming to bounce back from recent defeats when they renew hostilities in Saturday evening's Ligue 1 battle.

Les Sang et Or went down 1-0 to Lille last week, their first loss of the season, while La Paillade suffered a 2-0 defeat to Monaco on matchday 10.

We say: Lens 3-1 Montpellier HSC

Facing a leaky Montpellier side is just what the doctor ordered for Lens to get back to winning ways, as Dall'Oglio just cannot find the right defensive formula for his side, and the absence of Ferri should certainly be felt.

A team led by Dall'Oglio is always capable of threatening in the final third, but Lens have very few blots on the notebook from their home endeavours so far and should maintain their perfect winning record at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis to get back on track.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
