Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez will reportedly have a medical with Roma after the two clubs agreed a fee ahead of a potential transfer.

Roma have reportedly agreed a fee with Leicester City for wantaway winger Riyad Mahrez.

Soon after the end of the season, Mahrez revealed that he was keen for a new challenge and wanted to leave the King Power Stadium, but interested clubs have not been in a rush to meet Leicester's valuation.

However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have now made a breakthrough for the Algerian playmaker, having previously seen two bids rejected for his signature.

New boss Eusebio di Francesco has money to spend after the Italian giants generated over £80m through the sales of Antonio Rudiger, Leandro Paredes and Mohamed Salah, and it appears that Luciano Spalletti's replacement is willing to spend in excess of £32m to sign Mahrez.

During his time in the East Midlands, Mahrez has helped Leicester win the Premier League title, an achievement which led to a run to the Champions League quarter-finals during the last campaign.

Mahrez - who has played a full role in pre-season - has contributed 35 goals in 138 appearances for Leicester in all competitions.
