Leicester City have reportedly reached an agreement with Russell Martin to become the new manager at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes are now preparing for life back in the Championship after suffering a sobering relegation from the Premier League during the 2024-25 campaign.
In truth, the East Midlands outfit never looked like surviving and avoiding a bottom-three finish, ending up in the drop zone with Ipswich Town and Southampton.
Leicester collected just 25 points across their 38 top-tier matches, leaving them 13 points behind Tottenham Hotspur in the safety of 17th.
Ruud van Nistelrooy's troops concluded their challenging campaign on Sunday afternoon when they lost 2-0 on the South coast to Bournemouth.

Leicester reach agreement for Van Nistelrooy replacement?
According to Football Insider, Leicester have made a decision regarding the future of former Manchester United hero Van Nistelrooy this summer.
The report claims that the second-tier Foxes have decided to part ways with the Dutchman, who could not prevent the club from Premier League relegation.
It is understood that Van Nistelrooy will be dismissed in the coming days, with a successor to the current head coach announced in due course.
That man is said to be Martin, who has been out of managerial employment since December when he was sacked by whipping boys Southampton.
The ex-Swansea City boss will be in place well before the start of the new campaign in August, tasked with returning Leicester to the Premier League immediately.

Leicester's Championship challenge
In charge of the 2015-16 Premier League champions, Martin will be expected to bring Leicester back to the top flight next season with little room for error.
There could be major obstacles for the new head coach in that pursuit, with the club supposedly set for at least a six-point deduction due to their breach of Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR).
As a result, Leicester fans should be wary of assuming that Martin and the crop of 2025-26 will easily replicate the achievements of Enzo Maresca's group in 2023-24.
