Leicester City captain Wes Morgan praises his side's resilience after they held out for a 1-0 win over Porto in their first ever Champions League home game.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has hailed his side's resilience following their 1-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League this evening.

Islam Slimani scored the only goal of the game as the Foxes welcomed Champions League football to the King Power Stadium for the first time, making it two wins from two in their maiden campaign in the competition.

Porto applied late pressure in their search for an equaliser and even hit the post through Jesus Corona, but Morgan was pleased with how his side held on for the points.

"We know we've got to be resilient, especially at home. We had to dig in at the end there so it's pleasing to get three points," he told reporters.

"Islam Slimani is a handful and he works hard for his goals so he deserves a lot of credit. [I'm] pleased for him tonight."

Leicester now sit top of Group G with maximum points, five points clear of third-place Porto.
