Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri says that summer signing Ahmed Musa will take time to 'adapt' to life in the Premier League.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Ahmed Musa's lack of first-team action this season is down to the striker 'still adapting to life in the Premier League'.

Musa, who joined the Foxes from CSKA Moscow in the summer, has been left out of Leicester's last two Premier League squads and has not started in the league since the opening weekend of the season.

Ranieri has insisted that the Nigeria international will play a prominent role for the champions this term, but needs time to 'adapt' to English football.

"He is working very well, but he is adapting now," Ranieri told the Leicester Mercury. "But I think sooner or later, he will come back and he will play."

Club-record signing Islam Slimani has emerged as Jamie Vardy's regular strike partner in the early stages of the season.
