Hull City announce the signing of goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.

Hull City have announced the signing of goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at the KCOM Stadium, keeping him at the club until 2019.

Marshall joined Cardiff in 2009, going on to make almost 300 appearances for the club and helping them to Premier League promotion in 2013.

The veteran keeper will join up with his new teammates after the international break, having been named in Gordon Strachan's Scotland squad for the World Cup qualifier with Malta.

Marshall becomes Hull's first major signing of the summer, and is expected to overtake Eldin Jakupovic as the first-choice keeper during the continued absence of the injured Allan McGregor.
