Sports Mole brings you live coverage from the KC Stadium as Hull City host Norwich City in the Premier League.

Hull City hosted Norwich City looking to record their first win at KC Stadium since returning to the Premier League.

The Tigers endured a loss to Chelsea on Sunday, while the Canaries came into the match having earned a point against Everton.

However, it was Hull who came out on top in a tight affair on Humberside.

Read how the action unfolded in our live commentary below.

2.04pmGood afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of Premier League action as Hull City take on Norwich City at the KC Stadium.

2.05pmWell they couldn't have had a tougher start could they? Hull began their return to the English top flight with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face title favourites Chelsea. They may have lost 2-0, but there were plenty of positives to take away from London for Steve Bruce's side. They will be happier to back on home soil for a match that they will be expecting to pick up their first points of the season.

2.08pmThe away side had a more enjoyable opening weekend. Having impressed with a number of summer signings, Chris Hughton's Norwich side endured a highly exciting 2-2 draw at Carrow Road last weekend that included a debut goal for Ricky van Wolkswinkel. The Canaries will feel that they have the attacking ability to earn a victory in Hull today.

2.08pmIn all fairness, a point wouldn't leave either manager unhappy you wouldn't have thought, but this is a really tough clash to call.

2.09pmRight, we have team news for you. Starting with the hosts...

2.09pmHULL XI: McGregor, Elmohamady, Figueroa, Davies, Chester, Huddlestone, Livermore, Koren, Brady, Aluko, Sagbo

2.10pmSo two changes for the Tigers coming off the back of their defeat at Chelsea. Former Tottenham Hotspur duo Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone are handed their first starts for the club. Meanwhile David Meyler and Danny Graham have dropped to the bench.

2.12pmSCORE UPDATE: Fulham 0-3 Arsenal (Lukas Podolski)

2.13pmRight, here is the substitutes bench for Hull today.

2.14pmHULL BENCH: Harper, Bruce, McShane, Rosenior, Meyler, Boyd, Graham

2.14pmSome decent attacking options available for Steve Bruce this afternoon, in particular with Danny Graham and George Boyd.

2.15pmAnd now time for the Norwich team news...

2.16pmNORWICH XI: Ruddy, Whittaker, Turner, R Martin, Garrido, Tettey, Johnson, Howson, Fer, Redmond, van Wolfswinkel

2.19pmSo Chris Hughton also makes two changes ahead of today's game in response to their draw with Everton. A long-term injury to Elliott Bennett means that he is replaced in the team by Alex Tetty. Whereas new signing Leroy Fer comes into the team in place of Wes Hoolahan.

2.19pmNathan Redmond and Ricky van Wolfswinkel keep their spots in the starting lineup, while Hughton has named an unchanged back five.

2.19pmAnd to the substitutes for the Canaries...

2.20pmNORWICH BENCH: Bunn, Snodgrass, Elmander, Becchio, Hoolahan, Olsson, R Bennett

2.23pmNew boy Johan Elmander, who was signed on loan from Galatasaray during the week, starts on the bench alongside other attacking threats Robert Snodgrass, Luciano Becchio and Martin Olsson.

2.23pmSCORE UPDATE: Fulham 1-3 Arsenal (Darren Bent)

2.26pmIf you're one of those to base your prediction on history then you'll be placing you money on the home side today. Hull have only lost one of their last seven encounters with Norwich, although this is the first time they have ever met in the Premier League.

2.27pmDespite past results favouring Hull, they have been tight affairs. Only one of those meetings hasn't ended up with a scoreline of 1-1 or 2-1. I'm predicting another close encounter today.

2.31pmAnother fact that points to this match being hard to split is that Hull can only boast one victory in their last 14 Premier League matches, with three draws and ten defeats. That victory came under the guidance of interim boss Iain Dowie against Fulham back in March 2010.

2.33pmThey aren't in great form either Hull. They won just one of their last five Championship matches, and ended up scoring five goals few than Peterborough United who were subsequently relegated to League One. They will be desperate for goals today.

2.35pmAs for Norwich, they aren't particularly great on the road. Their win over Manchester City at the Etihad on the final day of last season was their first away victory in 10 matches.

2.36pmAnd that was only one of two wins away from Carrow Road last year, the joint lowest in the top flight. They have since added to their attacking threat with the likes of Gary Hooper and Van Wolfswinkel.

2.36pmYou can expect a busy day for John Ruddy in the Norwich goal as well today. In their last 52 Premier League away matches, Norwich have kept just two clean sheets.

2.39pmFULL TIME SCORE: Fulham 1-3 Arsenal

2.41pmCOMPETITION: Veering away from today's match for just a brief moment, you might be interested to hear that Sports Mole is running its own Fantasy Football League this season with a £100 prize for the winner. Fancy joining? Then use the code 12799-455963 to get involved.

2.42pmWe're less than 20 minutes away from the match, and the excitement is building at the KC Stadium.

2.45pmThe sun is breaking out on Humberside as both teams continue their pre-match warm-up.

2.51pmIt's a big day for the city of Hull in general, as Hull FC rugby league club, joint homeowners of the KC Stadium, play in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley. Could be a delightful day to be from the city.

2.55pmThe two teams are in the tunnel and will be shortly stepping out onto the field.

2.58pmHull and Norwich make their way onto the pitch to a massive roar from the KC Stadium PA. It's a wonderful atmosphere in the stadium.

2.59pmAs far as kits are concerned. Hull are wearing that orange and black striped shirts with black shorts and socks.

2.59pmNorwich are sporting their away kit which is white shirts with black sleeves, black shorts and white socks.

3pmThe PA guy is really doing his nut at the moment, he is literally just screaming down the microphone. It's working though, there's a great noise at the KC Stadium.

3pmHull will have kickoff.

0 minKICK OFF! Sagbo and Brady get the game underway.

3 minCHANCE! Norwich have the first chance of the match and it's new boy Leroy Fer who goes close. The Canaries enjoy some lovely football and Van Wolfswinkel slots Howson down the right of the box, he gives it back to Whittaker who floats the ball to the far post. Fer gets to the ball first at the back but can only head it wide of the near post.

5 minHull have a free kick on the right touchline and it's an opportunity for them to get the ball into the box. Brady takes the kick and pings it to the far post, but John Ruddy is on hand to pluck that one from the sky.

33 minGood delivery from the right touchline by Howson, who whips the ball right to the far post where Van Wolfswinkel gets above a crowd of bodies, but he can only direct his header over the bar.

7 minIt’s been a really good start to this match, both teams are going for it.

8 minNearly a chance for Norwich there as the low cross in from the right nearly fall to Van Wolfswinkel, but the ball is hammered away by Elmohamady.

11 minCHANCE! Norwich goes close again and it’s another new signing, this time Nathan Redmond. The former Birmingham City man has started the game ever so well, and stings the palms of Allan McGregor from range as the Scottish stopper is forced into making a smart save low to his right.

14 minThe pace of the game has decreased over the past few minutes after a fast and frantic start. Both team and fans are able to catch their breath.

16 minCHANCE! First real effort on goal from Hull and it’s wonderful skill from Aluko, who is passed the ball with his back to goal on the edge of the box before playing a blinding back heel into the area for Livermore to run on to. He then gets the shot away from the left of the box, but it flies over the bar.

18 minStrong challenge from Aluko on Fer as he arrives late from behind, but he just gets a telling off from referee Mike Jones.

20 minPENALTY TO HULL!

21 minHull have a great chance to go in front and it’s their former player Michael Turner who gives away a silly foul on Yannick Sagbo. Both players are going up for a cross, and the defender tugs him down. Neither were getting it.

21 minRobbie Brady will take it.

22 minGOAL! Hull City 1-0 Norwich City (Robbie Brady)

22 minThat’s how to be composed from 12 yards out. Brady runs up and just pushes the ball into the bottom left corner and sends Ruddy the wrong way. Brady waited for the stopper to commit before guiding it into the back of the net. Advantage Hull.

25 minAfter a shaky start, Hull are well on top now at the KC Stadium. They looked a bit nervous early on as Norwich continued to flood forward, but they are in the mood now.

27 minRED CARD!

28 minHull’s good start has just taken a turn for the worse as Yannick Sagbo is shown a straight red card by the referee. The incident went unnoticed among the large majority of the fans and players, but it’s for an incident off the ball. Not sure what that incident is just yet, but the short story is that Hull are down to 10 men.

30 minWhat does Steve Bruce do now? Does he make a substitution or just reshuffle his current pack? He may not do either.

31 minHearing that Sagbo was sent off for a head butt. Silly boy, Bruce will be furious with the forward.

33 minGood delivery from the right touchline by Howson, who whips the ball right to the far post where Van Wolfswinkel gets above a crowd of bodies, but he can only direct his header over the bar.

33 minGood delivery from the right touchline by Howson, who whips the ball right to the far post where Van Wolfswinkel gets above a crowd of bodies, but he can only direct his header over the bar.

37 minCHANCE! Nice turn from Aluko inside the box for Hull, before firing an effort that had Ruddy well beaten. Fortunately for the England stopper, it flew just past the post.

39 minThe game has got pretty feisty since the sending off. A lot of fouls are flying in all over the place. The atmosphere is still top drawer though.

44 minA few stop-start minutes summed up just then as Redmond turns away from his marker before being chopped down by Curtis Davies. Chance for Norwich to have a crack at goal. Garrido over the ball.

45 minFloated in by Garrido, but McGregor decides to come and catch the ball. Good goalkeeping.

45 minTwo minutes of added time to go.

45+1 minBrady turns on the left from about 30 yards out and thinks "why not?!" before slamming an effort towards the top corner. The shot doesn't trouble Ruddy at all though, and heads over for a goal kick.

45+2 minLivermore brings down Redmond right on the edge of the box. Brilliant chance for Norwich, and this will be the last chance of the half.

45+3 minThe kick is about 25 yards out to the left of the D, Garrido and Redmond are the options.

45+3 minCHANCE! Redmond goes for it and whips a dipping effort towards the near post, and it just misses McGregors post.

45+3 minHALF TIME: Hull City 1-0 Norwich City

3.50pmA very good first half, and one that leaves us with the match finely poised. Hull are ahead through that Robbie Brady penalty, but also find themselves a man down after Sagbo's silly attempted head butt.

3.50pmBoth sides are continuing to have opportunities though, and this match is far from over.

3.51pmLet's bring you some half-time statistics.

3.53pmMatch statistics:

Hull City:

4.04pmThe teams are back out for the second half.

4.05pmNORWICH CHANGE Robert Snodgrass has been brought on at the break in place of Bradley Johnson. Norwich are going for it.

45 minKICK OFF! Norwich get us underway in the second half.

48 minNorwich, as you would expect, are dominating possession at the moment with their extra man. No chances yet though.

49 minHull are nearly in as Aluko scoops a brilliant pass over the top from the edge of the box for the onrushing Livermore. His effort is then off target although he was penalised for fouling the defender.

51 minTettey brings the ball down like a dream on the edge of the box before firing an effort at goal. However, the shot takes a deflection and goes out for a corner.

52 minNothing comes from the corner, apart from a head injury to Curtis Davies.

54 minDavies has remained on the field, he is getting patched up and will now wear a headband. Surely he should have been taken off the pitch?

55 minSo Davies will carry on doing his best impression of LeBron James.

57 min12 minutes into the second half, and no real chances to report on yet. A lot of possession for Norwich, but not putting Hull under any pressure. Hughton will be asking for more from his players.

58 minIt's worth noting that Hull have been playing with 10 men for 40 minutes of this match.

59 minCHANCE! It doesn't look a very difficult save, but McGregor managed to get two hands on a Jonny Howson shot that took a deflection on the edge of the box.

62 minCHANCE! Howson is looking a lot more lively in the middle of the park as opposed to on the right flank. He runs inside from the left of centre before unleashing a shot from the edge of the box. It's swerving all over the place but goes over the bar.

63 minCHANCE! Now Norwich are starting to create some problems for Hull. The ball is played into the box from the left and Van Wolfswinkel chest the ball brilliant into the path of Tettey. The latter can replicate the former's brilliance, and lashes his shot well away from goal.

64 minThis is better from Norwich. Snodgrass coming on has allowed Howson to roam in the middle as well as adding pace and delivery down the right himself. Good change from Hughton, his side are well on top but still behind.

65 minNORWICH CHANGE Second swap for the Canaries and Alex Tettey makes way for Johan Elmander to make his debut.

67 minSAVE! What a stop from McGregor. The cross is whipped into a busy penalty area from the left for Norwich and Van Wolfswinkel meets the ball with a towering header. He powers it towards the back of the net but McGregor manages to stretch out a hand and push the ball behind for a corner.

68 minThat save has got the Hull crowd going. Can the players use it?

70 minHull have a rare attack forward and win a corner. It's floated in deep towards Davies, but he can't get any power on the header as Ruddy catches.

71 minLess than 20 minutes to go, this next goal, if there is one, will be pivotal.

72 minHULL CHANGE Sone Aluko is the first Hull player to leave the field this afternoon and Danny Graham, who has a goal scoring record against Norwich, is on.

73 minNORWICH CHANGE Final alteration for the Canaries as Redmond makes way for Wes Hoolahan.

75 minDanny Graham is without a goal in over 17 hours of football. Could today be the day he breaks the baron run.

76 minYELLOW CARD Jake Livermore goes into the book for hacking down Hoolahan.

78 minNorwich have a free kick from about 30 yards out. Snodgrass is over it. Could go for goal from this ranger.

78 minSnodgrass opts to cross it into the far post, but Hull can get it away the first time before conceding a corner.

80 minHULL CHANGE Robbie Brady, whose goal separates these sides, is coming off with George Boyd the man brought on.

81 min23,682 is the official attendance today, 2,500 of them are from Norwich.

83 minHULL CHANGE Final change for Steve Bruce as he takes off Robert Koren, who hands the captain's armband to Robert Chester, and on comes Leroy Rosenior as Hull look to hold out for this win.

85 minHull are just trying to keep hold of the ball and run the clock down. Not long for them to go.

87 minTime running out for Norwich, and it's Hull who are forward. Boyd works some space well but his cross is overhit in an empty penalty area.

88 minNorwich have a free kick which they send nearly everyone forward for. Hull have everyone back and they win a free kick after Leroy Fer is deemed guilty of committing a foul.

90 minWe'll have six added minutes at the KC Stadium.

90+1 minOne assumes that most of that is for the Curtis Davies injury.

90+3 minHuge cheers for George Boyd who brings the ball forward for Hull and wins the free kick.

90+3 minNorwich just haven't been bright enough today, whereas Hull's organisation has told.

90+4 minHull fans cheering every time their players make a pass. They sense a victory is very close.

90+5 minYELLOW CARD Garrido goes into the box for tugging the shirt practically off the back Graham.

90+6 minFULL TIME: Hull City 1-0 Norwich City

4.57pmThey've done it. Hull have held on to record their first Premier League victory since returning to the top flight. They probably just about deserved it, but when you consider that they played 70 minutes with a man less, they were definitely worthy winners.

4.58pmRobbie Brady's penalty in the first half was enough to win it for Hull, in a match that saw them lose Yannick Sagbo to a red card in the 27th minute for an attempted head butt off the ball.

4.58pmThat's all from me for this match, make sure you stick around for my analysis that I'll bring you on the site shortly. I hope you enjoyed the game. Goodbye.
