Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Sunday's Bundesliga fixtures - Freiburg vs. Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz 05 vs. FC Koln.

Freiburg will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the new Europa-Park Stadion on Sunday.

The hosts are still in the middle of their best-ever start to a Bundesliga campaign despite the minor setback prior to the international break, whilst the visitors are slowly beginning to turn results around after a disappointing start to their season.

We say: Freiburg 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

Neither Freiburg or Frankfurt have blown many teams away this season, but with the outstanding defensive record of the hosts, we can see them edging out the visitors here.

It is likely to be a tight game with very little between the two sides, but taking home advantage into account along with the excellent start to the season from Freiburg, we believe they will come out victorious and returning to winning ways in this one.

Mainz 05 vs. FC Koln (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Two expected relegation candidates in the Bundesliga go head to head at the Opel Arena on Sunday looking to build on impressive starts to the campaign.

Mainz 05 have continued on from their miraculous finish to the 2020-21 season and find themselves in and around the European places, whilst FC Koln sit comfortably in midtable following their near-relegation last campaign.

We say: Mainz 05 1-1 FC Koln

These sides appear evenly matched ahead of their encounter on Sunday, and because of this, we are predicting a tight affair finishing in a score draw.

Mainz could easily nick it though considering they are on the better run of form, but the international break will have benefitted Koln and we can see them coming away with a point here.
