Can title races in La Liga and Serie A still change shape?

We're getting to that dramatic point of the season where titles can be decided. While the Premier League title has already been clinched by Liverpool and the Bundesliga was romped by Bayern Munich, in Europe's other top leagues there is still plenty to play for.

Given that football is the most popular sport in the UK, the casino review site Superlenny knows that we're often likely to be betting on games while we watch. For that reason it's always worthwhile comparing sports betting sites regularly, just to make sure we're getting the best options for our money.

As an example, not every UK sports betting site offers a broad range of European football betting options, preferring to focus more on the English Premier League. For those of us in love with Spain's La Liga or infatuated with the Italian Serie A, it can be disappointing if we can't bet on games with our usual bookmaker.

Titles up for grabs in Italy and Spain
The title races in both of those European leagues has yet to be decided. As games come thick and fast, there's always the chance of more than a few surprise results, which means lots of exciting action to follow in the final weeks of the season.

While the habitual favourites in both Italy and Spain are indeed leading the way, those bidding to win titles face tricky fixture schedules. They will have to face rivals who are fighting for European positions or battling to avoid relegation, all of which adds even more spice.

Juventus could yet blow ninth straight title
If they can win Serie A this season, Juventus will have won the Italian Scudetto for nine seasons running. That would be a truly remarkable feat and no other club has ever dominated the domestic championship for so long.

Juventus currently maintain a strong points advantage at the top of Serie A, above Lazio in second and Inter Milan in third. However, the recent collapse against AC Milan showed that even with Cristiano Ronaldo in amazing form, they're far from invulnerable.

Despite sweeping into a comfortable 0-2 lead at San Siro, the second half was an absolute disaster for Juventus. Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic sparked a phenomenal comeback, as AC Milan romped to a spectacular 4-2 victory, keeping their hopes of European qualification alive.

Although catching Juventus at the top will be a formidable challenge, neither Lazio or Inter Milan will be ready to give up the chase just yet. It would be a huge shock if Juventus don't win the title, yet stranger things have happened in Italian football.

Real Madrid & Barcelona set for tense finale
Okay, there are hardly any surprises at the top of La Liga. Once again, the title chase has become a two-horse race between the two biggest clubs. Nevertheless, there could be plenty of twists and turns in the final encounters of the campaign, before one of them can celebrate.

For much of the 2019-20 season, Barcelona have been leading the way in La Liga. However, even though Lionel Messi continues to impress individually, his team have been stuttering during the second half of the campaign. Drawing recent games against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Atletico Madrid could yet prove costly.

Meanwhile, the ability to grind out minimal wins could make all the difference for Real Madrid. Although the side managed by Zinedine Zidane have been far from spectacular, they're keeping plenty of clean sheets, entering a winning streak at just the right time.

Both teams have what appear to be winnable games to conclude the season, although the most pressure appears to be on Barcelona. They simply can't afford to drop any more points, because the next time they do the title race swings definitively in favour of Real Madrid.
