Live text commentary of Eintracht Braunschweig against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Eintracht Braunschweig took on Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, with both sides having lost their first two Bundesliga games of the season.

It was Frankfurt who broke their duck with a deserved 2-0 win, with both goals coming in the second half.

The first came through Alexander Meier, whose shot was heavily deflected on the way in, with Stefan Aigner completing the win after latching on to a poor Omar Elabdellaoui pass.

2.01pmGood afternoon fussball fans! Today we have another Bundesliga double-header, with four side in action. None of the four have won a league game so far. First up is Eintracht Braunschweig vs. Eintracht Frankfurt.

2.04pmBefore anything else, I'll get the team news across to you, shall I?

2.07pmBRAUNSCHWEIG XI: Davari; Elabdellaoui, Bicakcic, Correira, Reichel; Kratz, Theuerkauf, Boland; Hochscheidt, Jackson, Kruppke

2.08pmFRENKFURT XI: Trapp; Celozzi, Zambrano, Anderson, Oczipka; Aigner, Flum, Rode, Inui; Kadlec, Meier

2.12pmSo Frankfurt respond to their miserable start to the season by playing two up top. Michal Kadlec is partnered by Alexander Meier, with the latter likely to be playing deeper in order to help out the midfield.

2.18pmFor the hosts can Simeon Jackson begin to perform up front? He has support from out wide by Jan Hochscheidt and Dennis Kruppke today. Both sides need a win, but really both are lacking in attacking prowess it has to be said.

2.23pmODDS: A look at the odds tells me that the bookmakers aren't quite sure who will win. Frankfurt are the slight favourites, which I think is about right. It's 7/5 for them or 9/4 for a home win.

2.27pmPREDICTION: Two sides on poor form, with the away team having slightly the stronger team? Sounds like a draw to me. I'm plumping for 1-1 in a scrappy encounter.

2.29pmWe're almost set for kickoff then. I have hopes that we might be in for a good game with both sides really in need of points.

0 minKICKOFF: Here we go then. The 90 minutes begins!

2 minCHANCE: Early chance for Stefan Aigner, who cut in on the left and had a sniff of goal, but Correira was across well to block it for a throw, which came to nothing.

4 minStill Frankfurt doing most of the pressing, and their passing is crisp early on. However, Braunschweig are looking lively without the ball and force the visitors back.

6 minBraunschweig have really not found any sort of rhythm so far. They are not finding yellow shirts with their passes and in fact are resorting to direct football. Correira does well against to tackle Kadlec this time, who had worked his way into the box.

9 minThe Frankfurt left side, Inui and Oczipka are finding plenty of space as they cut in from the flanks. They're very attacking and can go down the flanks or infield seemingly at will at the moment. No really clear chances at either end as yet, though.

11 minPOST! Frankfurt try a different approach, with Zambrano finding Kadlec with a long ball. Eventually it comes to Inui on the left, whose shot clips the post and goes wide. Close.

13 minFinally a shot from the hosts. Hochscheidt has a couple of teammates in the box, but they're closed down well so he has to shoot. No real danger, however, and it's blocked for a throw.

15 minReally good work again from Inui. This time he goes down the line and gets inside his man, but more good defending sees the ball cleared. Frankfurt win a throw so there's little respite for the hosts. They break through Jackson, however, who looks to be brought down by Zambrano, but it goes the other way. That was 50/50 I think.

17 minStill Frankfurt come forward and Inui is the outlet. He tries to go past Elabdellaoui after being found by Aigner, but the full-back does well to concede the corner.

19 minCHANCE: Oczipka goes for goal from range and his shot is deflected into the air. It falls to Meier, who cannot get enough on his shot from close range and Davari gathers easily.

21 minBRAUNSCHWEIG SUB: Correira, who has been excellent but has taken a knock, has to make way for Deniz Dogan. That's a blow for the hosts but positive for Frankfurt who had yet to find a way past the Portuguese.

22 minMISS: That has to go down as a really good chance. Kadlec does well on the right side of the box to cut across to his striker partner Meier, but he gets his shot all wrong and puts it high and wide from about 14 yards.

25 minFrankfurt have been a little less dominant in the last few minutes, but they remain to be really threatened at the back. That Meier chance was the last really good one and there hasn't been a shot since.

27 minThere's a break in play here as Anderson goes down following a clash with Braunschweig.

29 minHe's a big lad, though, Anderson so I expect him to be alright soon enough. Indeed here he comes back on the pitch. Soldier. Back to the game and Frankfurt are still controlling the possession. Inui tries once more down the left and a shot comes in from Flum, but it's blocked.

31 minSAVE: A rare foray forward for Braunschweig and Boland sees space open up. He goes for goal from about 20 yards and, despite being powerful, it's straight at Trapp, who makes his first save of the game.

33 minThat was a good chance there for Hochscheidt to the left of the box, but he took too much time deciding what to do and allowed Celozzi in to tackle. At the other end Frankfurt win a corner, but Celozzi can barely beat the first man.

35 minSo close to a lovely passing move for the visitors. Flum finds Inui, who flicks on to Aigner first time, but the through ball intended for Rode is too strong. That's a shame, because Rode would have been in acres.

37 minSAVE: There's a hint of Jackson's pace there as he catches Zambrano short, but the centre-back just about gets a head on it and Trapp makes himself big as Jackson shoots. Decent save.

39 minIt has to be said Braunschweig are finishing the half strongest. Suddenly Frankfurt's passes are going astray and the hosts are showing signs of their pace on the break. Rode shoots low from range and Davari is almost caught out, but it goes just wide.

41 minReally good footwork from Theuerkauf, to get away from a group of Frankfurt players, but his pass is behind Jackson, who wanted it in front to run on to.

41 minFree kick now for the hosts. Hochscheidt is fouled as he passed to Jackson - but it looked a little fortunate to me. Either way, they have a kick about 30 yards from goal just left of centre.

42 minWasted. Kevin Kratz gets an awful lot of air on it and it doesn't come down until it reaches the running track.

45 minSome scrappy defending from a late corner for Braunschweig, but Dogan eventually gets it away. Just a minute to be added on here.

45+1 minHALF-TIME: Braunschweig 0-0 Frankfurt

3.19pmWell, perhaps as expected, the game is goalless in the first half. Frankfurt have by far been the most threatening team and should be ahead in truth, but BRaunschweig's last line of defence has been solid.

3.23pmThat said, Frankfurt have to score. Inui down the left has been far and away the best player so far, with the target clearly being to unsettle Elabdellaoui, who has looked nervous. We haven not seen enough from their strikers, however.

3.28pmThe statistics are weighted heavily in the favour of the visitors. They have seen 60% of the ball, have had 12 shots (6 on target) as well as seven corners. Conversely, Braunschweig have had four shots (one on target) and no corner kicks.

3.31pmThe players are coming back out now. Not sure of any subs yet, but will let you know if there have been any.

45 minKICKOFF: There is indeed a sub, Carlos Zambrano off for Marco Russ. We're back underway now.

46 minEarly chance for the hosts. Hochscheidt crosses from the left but Trapp is there to claim it.

48 minInui cuts in again from the left and is fed the ball by Meier, but a combination of defenders get the ball from the Japanese before he could shape to shoot.

50 minAigner tries to get on the end of a ball into the box from Rode. He gets there, but heads into the back of a defender, before putting the ball out of play himself.

52 minGOAL! Braunschweig 0-1 Frankfurt (Alexander Meier)

53 minThat migght end up going down as an own goal from Bicakcic as Meier's shot on the turn takes a huge deflection off the defender's back and goes in. It looks just about on target, though, so Meier will claim it.

54 minBOOKING: It's a little tasty now as Norman Theuerkauf brings down Rode, and becomes the first player booked.

56 minBOOKING: Kratz quickly follows his teammate into the book. It's quite a late, studs up challenge on Celozzi and he doesn't complain.

57 minBRAUNSCHWEIG SUB: This one has delighted the crowd. Karim Bellarabi - back at the club on loan from Leverkusen - is replacing Dennis Kruppke.

60 minCHANCE: A half chance with his head there for Aigner. It was Inui again down the left who crossed with his right food, but Aigner could not keep it down.

62 minGOAL! Braunschweig 0-2 Frankfurt (Stefan Aigner)

63 minOh dear, oh dear Braunschweig. It's an absolutely suicidal pass from Elabdellaoui in the direction of Dogan. Aigner spots it, nips in first and slides the ball past Davari for what must settle the points. You cannot say they haven't deserved it.

66 minIt would be a huge ask now for Braunschweig to take anything from this one. They have to come forward now, as they do, but Boland fouls Anderson in the box and the chance has gone.

68 minFRANKFURT SUB: Despite the scoreline, the Braunschweig fans are in excellent voice. The visitors make their second change as Martin Lanig is on for Sebastian Rode.

70 minBRAUNSCHWEIG SUB: Huge cheers for Dominick Kumbela, as he takes to the field in place of Theuerkauf.

72 minFrankfurt deal with a counter-attack and come forward themselves. However they go back to Trapp before the hosts win the ball again. They have 18 minutes left to get two goals. Unlikely, but you never know.

74 minBOOKING: Tame effort from Reichel, who had come forward from left-back to have an effort, but Trapp sees is wide comfortably. There's a yellow for Meier as Dogan is caught with a high boot.

76 minJackson has a chance to run after Hochscheidt clears a set piece. He took too long with the ball, however, and should have shot earlier or passed to Kumbela.

78 minBellarabi does well down the right to win a throw. But in truth the game has slowed right down and Frankfurt are looking to just see this out.

81 minFRANKFURT SUB: Braunschweig are seeing more of the ball than they have all game, but you suspect that is because Frankfurt are dropping deeper now. Jan Rosenthal replaces Vaclav Kadlec in the final change.

85 minCLOSE! Frankfurt are now finishing this strongly. They are keeping the ball high in the home half. However, Braunschweig break through Jackson, who rifles a shot from range and clips the top of the bar - what an effort.

87 minSAVE: Good from Kumbela, who drives through the middle and shoots. He was under pressure, though and the effort bobbled to the keeper.

90 minThere will be two minutes of added-on time to end the game.

90+2 minFULL-TIME: Braunschweig 0-2 Frankfurt

4.20pmSo Frankfurt take a deserved win. That's all from this one but our next match will be on site soon - so stick around!
