Manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly demanding that Real Madrid officials do everything possible to sign Chelsea defender Reece James.

Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly called on Real Madrid to do everything possible to sign Chelsea defender Reece James.

Los Blancos are expected to be active in the summer transfer market with Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger being strongly tipped to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.

With both of those signings potentially occurring on free transfers, funds can be allocated elsewhere, and it appears that Ancelotti has his sights set on a new right-back.

According to El Nacional, the legendary Italian boss has informed Real Madrid officials that he wants James in his squad at the earliest opportunity.

Although previous reports have indicated that the La Liga champions may wait until 2023 before launching a bid for the Blues star, it is now claimed that a summer move could be made for the England international.

Unless the 22-year-old expresses a desire to sign for Real, Chelsea are likely to reject any offers for his signature, particularly with new owners due to be at the helm in the coming weeks.
