Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Chelsea could line up for Saturday's Champions League final with Manchester City.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is hopeful that Edouard Mendy and N'Golo Kante will both be fit for Saturday's Champions League final with Manchester City.

First-choice goalkeeper Mendy had to be withdrawn against Aston Villa at the weekend after injuring his ribs while colliding with the post, while Kante was left out entirely due to a thigh issue.

However, the former - who is aiming to equal Santiago Canizares's and Keylor Navas's records of nine clean sheets in a single Champions League campaign - should be fine to pull on the gloves and keep Kepa Arrizabalaga out of the team.

Cesar Azpilicueta's rescinded red card at Villa Park would have meant nothing for this game, and despite featuring on the right in recent games, the Spaniard will likely line up in a familiar back three alongside Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger.

Such a move would allow Reece James and Ben Chilwell to bomb down the wide areas, while Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will battle for the chance to partner Kante in the engine room, assuming that the Frenchman is passed fit.

The former Real Madrid man could get the nod as he aims to break his Champions League final duck, and Tuchel is under immense pressure to get his attacking formula spot on.

Mason Mount is a shoo-in, but the two spots alongside him are up for grabs. Christian Pulisic assisted Mount's second in the semi-final second leg win versus Real Madrid, and Hakim Ziyech is also pushing for inclusion, but Tuchel may opt for German teammates Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in Porto.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Kante, Chilwell; Mount, Werner; Havertz
