Sports Mole looks at how Canada could line up for their World Cup Group F encounter with Morocco on Thursday.

Canada boss John Herdman may opt to give some of his fringe players World Cup minutes in their final group game against Morocco on Thursday, with their elimination already confirmed after just two matches.

Ismael Kone has featured as a substitute in both of their matches so far, and could come in to replace 39-year-old Atiba Hutchinson in central midfield, who may struggle to feature in a third game in the space of a week.

Despite minor heroics in goal against Croatia, keeping the score down, Milan Borjan may be given a break after what has been a controversial week surrounding him given his Serbian links and his relationship with the Croatian faithful, so Dayne St. Clair may be given a go between the sticks.

Sam Adekugbe was fancied pre-tournament to be Canada's first choice left-back, but Herdman has opted to go with Richie Laryea instead in the first two games. However, the Hatayspor defender may get his chance here.

Jonathan David has struggled at the finals up to now, but he will be determined to bag himself a goal to take home, and being one of their youthful superstars, he may well keep his place.

His strike partner from Sunday, Cyle Larin, may drop back out of the side though after replacing Junior Hoilett for the Croatia game and making little impact.

That change could see Alphonso Davies given a more advanced role again up top with David, as Davies, alongside Tajon Buchanan, has offered the most dangerous offensive threat for the Maple Leafs at this tournament.

Canada possible starting lineup:
St. Clair; Johnston, Steven Vitoria, Miller, Adekugbe; Buchanan, Kone, Eustaquio, Hoilett; Davies, David
