The Shrews have virtually a full squad to choose from while the Bantams are hit with injuries.

Shrewsbury have recalled goalkeeper Cameron Gregory from a loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers ahead of their FA Cup first-round tie with Bradford.

With regular number one Max O'Leary sidelined with an ankle injury, Joe Murphy is expected to step in as replacement for the game at Montgomery Waters Meadow, with Gregory on the bench even though he has made 13 appearances for Harriers this season.

O'Leary has undergone a scan on his ankle, which manager Sam Ricketts has described as "not too bad", and is to be assessed over the coming days to "see how quickly he can recover from that".

Ricketts has no other injury concerns going into the game, with the Shrews hoping to emulate their run to the fourth round last season.

The Bantams, meanwhile, are beset by injuries, with seven players on the sidelines.

Along with defender Joe Riley, who is out for the season with a knee injury, City are also without strikers Clayton Donaldson, who faces another month out with a foot injury, while Shay McCartan suffered a training ground knock and is unlikely to figure.

Midfielder Jamie Devitt will not return until the new year as he recovers from a torn hamstring tendon, with defender Jackson Longridge recovering from his own hamstring problem.

Two others midfielders in Matty Palmer and Jordan Gibson are also on the casualty list, although the latter is closing in on a comeback from a calf injury.
