How Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up against Olympiacos

Sports Mole looks at how Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up in Thursday's Europa League clash with Olympiacos.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will head to Olympiacos on Thursday night for the first leg of their last-16 clash in the Europa League looking to pick up a positive result.

There was some doubt over whether the European tie would go ahead due to the coronavirus outbreak, but the first leg will take place in Greece as planned.

Wolves have only lost one of their last seven matches in all competitions but were held to a goalless draw by Brighton & Hove Albion in the league on Saturday afternoon.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Nuno Espirito Santo's side could line up.

Jonny and Morgan Gibbs-White will both once again miss out for Wolves, but Nuno otherwise has a healthy squad heading into Thursday's European contest.

Indeed, Adama Traore will feature despite concerns over a shoulder problem, and it seems likely that the Premier League club will switch from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-3 formation for this match.

Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez will both once again feature in the final third of the field, with Leander Dendoncker perhaps the player dropping out to allow Traore to start further forward.

Willy Boly has been impressive at the start of the defence since returning from injury, and the Ivorian is again expected to be joined by Conor Coady and Romain Saiss as part of a back three.

Daniel Podence will be hoping to earn a start against the club that he left in January to move to Molineux, although the Portuguese is again likely to be named on the bench.
