Bournemouth beat Reading 1-0 to retain their spot at the top of the Championship.
There were also wins for the trailing pack as Norwich edged out Leeds United, while Middlesbrough beat Wolves 2-1 in a defeat that leaves Kenny Jackett's side three points off the playoff spots.
There was also a huge win toward the bottom as 10-man Millwall beat nine-man Wigan 2-0 in a feisty relegation six-pointer at The Den to move four points adrift of safety with a game in hand.
