Harry Redknapp indicates that he would take on another management role, despite previously indicating that his ill-fated stint with Birmingham City could be his last.

Harry Redknapp has said that he "would love" to take on a new management role following his departure from Birmingham City earlier this month.

The 70-year-old was sacked by the Midlands side after a poor start to the season, which had seen them pick up just four points from their first eight games in the Championship.

In the immediate wake of his dismissal, Redknapp said that he 'doubted very much' if he would ever take on another management job, but now the former Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and West Ham United boss has indicated that he could be tempted back one more time.

"You never know, if someone rings up," he told Sky Sports News. "I said I wouldn't go back before and then suddenly someone says 'we've got something here'.

"If it was interesting, I love it. People say 'oh, driving up to Birmingham' - I loved it. I looked forward to it every day. I loved going into work, absolutely loved it.

"I had big ambitions for the club this year and I think given time we would have achieved those ambitions, I really do. The time wasn't there but you move on. I would love to get back in somewhere."

Redknapp has managed seven different club sides in England during his career and also had a two-week stint in charge of the Jordan national side last year.
