The Seasiders could close out the campaign by ending their three-game winless run this weekend, while the Gas will be hoping to provide some consolation to their fans.

Blackpool have lost two of their last three, but considering that they were against the division's top two, they will be confident of getting back to winning ways against a relegated team this weekend.
Additionally, Rovers have been in disastrous form at the end of the season, and though they will be desperate to give fans some optimism about their 2025-26 campaign, they are unlikely to take anything on Saturday.

Bolton vs. Stevenage (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Keen to end the League One season with a win in front of their fans, out-of-form Bolton Wanderers will welcome Stevenage to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday.
The Trotters will be looking for their first win in six games, while the Boro will be hoping to finish strongly after dropping five points in their last two.

Neither side have been in the strongest form in recent weeks, though Stevenage's single goal across their last four on the road suggests that they may find it difficult to break Bolton down at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

With confidence growing and momentum on their side, we back Leyton Orient to wrap up a playoff place with a sixth straight win against a Huddersfield Town side who have limped towards the end of the season since the turn of the year.

The Hollywood-backed visitors ascended to the second tier of English football thanks to a 3-0 beating of Charlton Athletic in their penultimate battle, while their hosts are marooned in mid-table.

The highs of last weekend may not be a sign of things to come for Wrexham in the Championship, or indeed Saturday's game, as Parkinson's men could be forgiven for lifting their foot off the gas.

A bottom-half battle with nothing but personal pride at stake, Mansfield Town and Exeter City conclude their League One campaigns at the One Call Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Nigel Clough's crop will have only had two days to recover from their 4-2 slaying of Peterborough United in midweek, whereas the visitors have had a week to recover from an equally impressive 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town.
We say: Mansfield Town 2-2 Exeter City
The less said about Mansfield's defending the better, but the Stags successfully fought fire with fire against Peterborough and can be backed for another couple of goals on the final day.
Exeter are nothing if not inconsistent too, so it would take a plucky soul to back them with any real confidence, but the Grecians can capitalise on their hosts' rearguard weaknesses in an entertaining final-day stalemate.

Both teams will be hoping to put on an entertaining show and will endeavour to end the season on a high by claiming maximum points this weekend, although goals have been hard to come by in games involving Wigan this term.
Aside from their convincing win over basement club Shrewsbury, Northampton's recent form on home soil has left little to be desired and they may have to settle for a share of the spoils on this occasion.

The hosts currently sit seventh and only trail the sixth-placed side on goal difference on the back of consecutive league victories.

Having rebuilt confidence in a strong campaign with consecutive wins again, and needing another victory to break into the top six, we back Reading to get past a Barnsley side lacking any momentum at the end of a disappointing season and start to 2025.

Rotherham United and Peterborough United clash on the final matchday of the League One season at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, with little at stake besides finishing as high as possible.
Both sides enter round 46 in disappointing form, with the hosts winless in four matches and Peterborough on a six-game streak without success as they head into the concluding fixture of the 2024-25 season.
We say: Rotherham United 2-2 Peterborough United
With 19 goals scored in Peterborough's last four away games - averaging 4.75 in recent matches against Reading (3-1 defeat), Crawley Town (4-3 win), Barnsley (1-1 draw) and Mansfield (4-2 defeat) - and Rotherham's recent home games witnessing 18 goals (mean of 4.5) from losses to Wycombe Wanderers (3-2) and Crawley (4-0), a win over Blackpool (2-1) and a 3-3 draw with Mansfield, another goal-heavy encounter could unfold this weekend.
Given the hosts' inability to achieve a consistent run of positive results in front of their supporters and the same for Peterborough on their travels, Saturday's match could end in a score draw.

Both teams are merely playing for pride, but if the reverse fixture is anything to go by, an entertaining, end-to-end contest where the shackles come off could be on the cards this weekend.
Shrewsbury are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since the beginning February, but we are backing Crawley to come away with at least a share of the spoils on this occasion.

With just two points separating third and fifth place in the League One table, both teams will want to prevail in order to secure home advantage for the second leg.

This game will have a competitive feel to it given that they could still meet in the upcoming playoffs. With that in mind, we see a draw being played out, one that may benefit Stockport more so than Wycombe.
