West Ham boss Slaven Bilic dedicates his side's 2-2 draw with Liverpool to the victims of the terrorist attacks which took place outside former club Besiktas's ground.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has dedicated his side's 2-2 draw with Liverpool to the victims of the Istanbul terror attack.

At least 38 people are thought to have been killed by explosions near Besiktas's Vodafone Arena yesterday, with a car bomb seemingly being targeted at riot police before a suicide bombing took place in nearby Macka Park.

Bilic spent two years in charge of Besiktas between 2013 and 2015, and he paid tribute to those who had lost their lives in the attack.

"I would like to dedicate these points to people in Turkey because we were there for two years, me and my staff, and they are following us big time," he told reporters.

"I feel for them, my prayers are for them, it's unbelievable what happened there. I was all around the world, working or on holiday, and they are maybe the best people I ever met. So it's very sad what's happening in one of the best cities and one of the best countries...not because of the nature of the country but because of the people.

"They are so friendly, so good, so warm and everything, that it's basically tearing me apart what's happening there. Big condolences for the families of the victims."

The explosions took place shortly after Besiktas had beaten Bursaspor to move joint top of the Turkish Super Lig table.
