Robert Lewandowski has returned to the Bayern Munich starting lineup against Mainz 05 after scoring five goals as a substitute in midweek.

After stunning Wolfsburg by finding the net five times in second-half minutes, the Polish striker leads the attack for the visitors with support from Douglas Costa, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman.

Javi Martinez starts for the first time in over a year after his recovery from a knee injury, while Jerome Boateng and Arturo Vidal are named on the bench by Pep Guardiola.

Mainz make just one change following their 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in midweek as Danny Latza comes into the side to replace Christoph Moritz in midfield.
