Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach.

Werder Bremen vs. RB Leipzig (Saturday, 2.30pm)

With European football at stake in the final two matchweeks of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season, Werder Bremen will host RB Leipzig at Weserstadion on Saturday.

The Green-Whites reside in eighth place with 47 points and are three points behind sixth-placed Leipzig, who occupy the division's Conference League qualification spot and drew 3-3 with Bayern Munich on May 3.

We say: Werder Bremen 2-1 RB Leipzig

Despite Leipzig's draw against Bayern, it is difficult to look past their poor away record and frailty at the back.

Werder Bremen have been outstanding in the final stages of the season, and they should be seen as favourites to claim all three points on Saturday.

Union Berlin vs. Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

With their hopes of staying in the Bundesliga resting on finishing in the relegation playoff spot, Heidenheim will travel to face Union Berlin at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei on Saturday.

Die Eisernen will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches this weekend, while the demotion-threatened visitors will be aiming for a second win in three games.

We say: Union Berlin 1-1 Heidenheim

Union have proven their resilience in recent months, so expect them to avoid defeat at the very least against one of the league's relegation candidates.

That being said, Heidenheim have been strong on the road, and they will be sure to make this game a close-fought contest.

VfL Bochum vs. Mainz (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Fighting for a place in the Bundesliga's top six, an inconsistent Mainz 05 will travel to Vonovia Ruhrstadion to take on relegation-battling VfL Bochum on Saturday.

Die Unabsteigbaren will be desperate to avoid being relegated this weekend, while Die Nullfunfer will be looking for their first win in eight matches.

We say: VfL Bochum 1-1 Mainz 05

Both Bochum and Mainz have been in lacklustre form ahead of this game, though given that each team has their own ambitions at stake this weekend, expect to see a close-fought contest.

Additionally, the two clubs have been struggling for clean sheets in recent weeks, and both sides are likely to be on the scoresheet.

Holstein Kiel vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Hosts Holstein Kiel could be relegated from the Bundesliga if they lose against Champions League hopefuls Freiburg on Saturday at Holstein-Stadion.

The home side are second last in 17th place with 25 points and will be relegated if they lose and Heidenheim beat Union Berlin on the weekend, while Freiburg are fourth with 52 points following their 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen on May 4.

We say: Holstein Kiel 2-3 Freiburg

Holstein Kiel are in strong goalscoring form, and they will be confident of finding the back of the net against the visitors.

However, Freiburg have also managed to create numerous chances in recent weeks, and they boast an excellent record away from home.

Bayern vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Visitors Borussia Monchengladbach must beat newly-crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Saturday at Allianz Arena to keep their European hopes alive.

The Bavarians were held to a 3-3 stalemate by RB Leipzig on May 3, but their points tally of 76 is eight more than second-placed Bayer Leverkusen with two games remaining, whereas the away side are ninth with 45 points and are five points and three places from the division's European spots.

We say: Bayern Munich 3-2 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayern may be able to play with a significant degree of freedom given they have already won the title, and Kane could find his way onto the scoresheet.

While there will undoubtedly be opportunities in attack for Borussia Monchengladbach considering Bayern will field a depleted backline, the visitors have struggled in the closing stages of the season, and it would be surprising if they avoided defeat.
