Leicester City are in running to sign Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho this summer, according to a report.

Leicester City are reportedly still firmly in the running to sign Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who is still recovering from knee surgery, is widely expected to leave Camp Nou ahead of next season, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest.

Talk of a switch to Leicester has quietened in recent weeks, but according to Sport, the Foxes are still keen on bringing the Brazil international to the King Power Stadium.

The report claims that Inter Milan and AC Milan are also in the running, although the Italian duo would rather take him on loan than commit to a permanent deal.

Coutinho, who only made 14 appearances for Ronald Koeman's side during the 2020-21 campaign, still has two years left to run on his contract with Barcelona.

The playmaker has largely struggled to make his mark for the Catalan giants since arriving from Liverpool, where he played under now Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers.
