Arsenal are reportedly set to compete with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane this summer.
The 29-year-old is facing an uncertain future in Bavaria and is currently set to leave the Bundesliga champions when his contract expires at the end of June.
It has previously been reported that Sane had expressed an eagerness to stay at Bayern following a fresh round of talks over a new deal.
However, Sane recently switched agents and is understood to have turned down a contract extension at Bayern that would have kept him at the club until 2028.
A number of top European clubs have since been alerted to Sane's situation and Europa League winners Tottenham have allegedly been offered the chance to sign the winger.

Arsenal to rivals Spurs for ex-Man City winger Sane?
Spurs are not the only North London club in the race for Sane's signature, though, as The Telegraph reports that Arsenal have made enquiries over the Germany international.
Sane is said to have several options as a Bosman free transfer for next season, with the Gunners emerging as one club who have asked about the conditions of a proposed deal.
Mikel Arteta is familiar with Sane as he worked with the winger as part of Pep Guardiola's coaching staff at Manchester City between the summer of 2016 and December 2019 before becoming Arsenal's head coach.
With new sporting director Andrea Berta at the helm, Arsenal are set to prioritise attacking reinforcements this summer, with a new striker and wide forward thought to be high on their list of targets.
The expected departure of Chelsea loanee Raheem Sterling could open the door for Arsenal to sign a new winger such as Sane, and his potential arrival on a free transfer would allow the Gunners to splash the cash on other top targets such as Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres or RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Is Sane set to seek pastures new after five-year Bayern spell?
Sane has spent five years at Bayern Munich and has made a total of 220 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 61 goals and providing 55 assists.
The winger, who became a four-time Bundesliga champion earlier this month, recorded 13 goals and six assists in 45 games for Vincent Kompany's side in the 2024-25 campaign, with only Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise (both 50) and Harry Kane (46) having played more matches for the club.
Sane is a 69-cap Germany international, who was recently called up to Julian Nagelsmann's squad ahead of next month's international break, and boasts plenty of experience at the highest level.
Prior to joining Bayern, Sane spent four seasons with Man City and recorded 25 goals and 30 assists in 90 Premier League appearances, winning back-to-back titles in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
