Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu has confirmed that Arsenal have been in contact about the possibility of signing Jadson.
Reports have suggested that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has identified the Brazilian as an ideal replacement for Barcelona-bound Cesc Fabregas.
Wenger recently rebuffed suggestions that the 27-year-old is bound for the Emirates Stadium but Lucescu has revealed that a deal could happen.
"I can confirm Jadson is wanted by Arsenal," said Lucescu. "Now it all depends on him."
Jadson has made four appearances for the Brazilian national team.
