Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Arsenal head to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday, with Mikel Arteta likely to shuffle the pack ahead of Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal.

In truth, the Gunners have little left to play for domestically this season, with the Spaniard's priority clearly overturning his side's 2-1 defeat away to Villarreal in the first leg.

Arsenal welcomed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and David Luiz back to their matchday squad in Villarreal on Thursday and both may start here in order to gain crucial match fitness.

Alexandre Lacazette and Kieran Tierney are close to returning from hamstring and knee injuries respectively, but both are likely to be spared for Thursday's second leg.

Dani Ceballos will almost certainly start against Newcastle given that he is suspended for the second leg following his second-half dismissal, with Mohamed Elneny potentially partnering him in midfield in the North East.

The likes of Mathew Ryan, Hector Bellerin, Gabriel, Cedric, Gabriel Martinelli and Willian may also be handed starts as Arteta looks to rotate his side.

Arsenal possible starting line up: Ryan; Bellerin, Luiz, Gabriel, Cedric; Elneny, Ceballos; Willian, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli; Aubameyang
