Reading defender Liam Moore insists that his side do not fear Arsenal ahead of their EFL Cup fourth-round showdown at the Emirates.

Reading defender Liam Moore has insisted that his side do not fear Arsenal ahead of Tuesday's EFL Cup clash between the two teams at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have won nine and lost none of their 12 outings in all competitions since the opening day of the season, and will go into the match sitting joint top of the Premier League table.

Moore acknowledged that his side would be coming up against the "elite", but is viewing the match as a good marker for where the club is in its bid to return to the top flight.

"It's a game that I look at and think it's a good test. Obviously Arsenal are well known for attractive football, but we play quite attractive football as well so it will be really good to test ourselves against them," he told the club's official website.

"They are at the elite - we are striving to be where they are in the Premier League. So it will be a great night for us and it will be equally as special for the fans. The cup games are always nice for them. Do we fear Arsenal? No, I don't think you should fear anybody.

"You can respect them, you can understand what type of club they are and what they are looking to do. But we shouldn't fear them. They are 11 humans on a pitch, albeit with serious quality."

Reading have lost all 13 of their previous meetings with Arsenal.
