A muscular problem is likely to keep Arsenal's Mathieu Debuchy, who is on loan at Bordeaux, out of action for three weeks.

Bordeaux have confirmed that Mathieu Debuchy will be sidelined for around three weeks with a muscular injury.

The 30-year-old, who joined Les Girondins on a six-month loan deal from Arsenal in January, sustained the complaint during the recent 0-0 draw with Nice.

"Tests have revealed a muscular injury. The France international will be unavailable for a period of between two and three weeks," read a statement on the club's official website.

The defender is now likely to sit out France's upcoming friendly encounters against the Netherlands and Russia.
