Joey Essex has been confirmed as a participant in the new season of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in Australia.
The 31-year-old's appearance on the antipodean show comes eight years after he took part in the UK version, which was staged in the same location.
Unlike the UK show, the Australian version is pre-recorded, meaning that Essex's stint was actually filmed more than four months ago.
The former TOWIE star has a limited profile down under, leading to a flurry of Aussie viewers taking to social media to question who he is.
Others taking part in the show include MasterChef Australia favourite Poh Ling Yeow, former AFL player Derek Kickett and Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm.
