Sky introduces a range of new features to Sky Q and Sky Go.

Sky is rolling out a series of new features to Sky Q and Sky Go this month, including a new 'Sky Sports Recap' feature.

Sky Q customers will have an enhanced voice control experience through their remote controls, with seamless switching between apps possible just by saying the name of the app.

Channel switching is also now possible through the remote, with a command such as "Watch 101" taking the viewer directly to BBC One, while the command "record" will prompt the box to start recording the current programme.

On Sky Go, a new feature called Sky Sports Recap allows viewers to catch up on highlights of any currently-live Premier League or EFL game inside the app. The feature has already been available to Sky Q customers for some time.

Select programming on Sky Go will also have an 'ad skipping' feature and the standard number of simultaneous screens will increase from one to two.

Fraser Stirling, Sky's group chief product officer, said: "The latest improvements to Sky Q's voice control makes it easier to quickly switch between your favourite apps and channels, plus with Sky Sports Recap on Sky Go, sports fans, like me, will never have to worry about missing out on any of the action again.

"We're continuing to make it even easier to enjoy the entertainment that matters to you."

Sky Q customers will have the new update automatically installed on their boxes, while Sky Go users will be prompted to download an update.
