Former PDC World Championship semi-finalist Andy Jenkins has been handed an 11-year ban for match-fixing.
Between 1995 and 2013, Jenkins was a regular on the BDO and PDC circuit, playing Raymond van Barneveld in the semi-finals of the PDC version in 2007.
However, the 54-year-old has now been banished from the sport after being found guilty of fixing 12 matches that he participated in between February 2022 and July 2023.
Furthermore, Jenkins - born in Portsmouth, Hampshire - placed bets on 88 matches that were played between March 2022 and May 2023.
Although Jenkins had denied match-fixing, he pleaded guilty to placing bets on games across that 14-month period.
A Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) disciplinary committee has now delivered a suspension that will run until November 15, 2034.
What matches came under suspicion?
In November 2023, Jenkins was one of three players - the others being Jack Main and Prakash Jiwa - who were suspended by the DRA after suspicious betting activity during matches played in the Modus Super Series.
Main is currently serving a ban until December 31, 2025, having been found guilty of fixing the outcome of one match.
Meanwhile, Jiwa has recently been banned until November 6, 2031 after being found guilty of fixing four matches and betting.
Former BDO Youth champion Leighton Bennett is also serving an eight-year suspension for fixing four matches and providing inside information on others, also during the Modus Super Series, before he earned a PDC Tour Card in January 2024.
