Jayson Tatum leads Boston Celtics past New York Knicks

Jayson Tatum scored 24 points and a career-best 14 rebounds to power the Boston Celtics to a 103-101 win over the New York Knicks.

Six of his points came during the final minute of the game, and he gave the Celtics a three-point lead from two free throws with just seven seconds left on the clock.

Tim Hardaway Jr had 24 points for the Knicks, who suffered their second two-point loss in two nights.

The Philadelphia 76ers took a nail-biting victory over the Orlando Magic, with JJ Redick scoring a three-pointer with just 17 seconds remaining.

Redick and Joel Embiid combined for an impressive 63 points, and were instrumental in clinching a 116-115 victory.

Aaron Gordon had a chance to tie the game with 10 seconds to go, but missed his second free throw.

In Washington, the Toronto Raptors claimed their third win of the season, beating the Wizards 117-113.

Seven players finished on double figures, led by Kyle Lowry on 28 points and 12 assists.

Bradley Beal had 32 points for Washington, and beat a franchise record for most three-pointers in a career by taking his 869th with just four minutes left.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers trounced the Brooklyn Nets 132-112, with Victor Oladipo scoring 25 points.

Kemba Walker took the game-winning throw with less than a second left as the Charlotte Hornets overcame the Miami Heat 113-112.

And Blake Griffin led the way on 33 points and 12 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons defeated the Chicago Bulls 118-116.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Mavericks toppled the Minnesota Timberwolves 140-136, the Denver Nuggets claimed a 119-91 victory over the Phoenix Suns, the Portland Trail Blazers beat the San Antonio Spurs 121-108, and the Houston Rockets won 124-115 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
