Harlequins ease to a 23-9 win over London Irish in the Aviva Premiership.

Harlequins have secured a comfortable 23-9 win over London Irish in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

Just a point separated the teams at half time, as James O'Connor kicked three penalties for the visitors to cancel out an early try from Nick Evans.

The Harlequins fly-half had a good day with the boot as well, adding penalties either side of half time to extend the home side's lead.

The Exiles were reduced to 14 men for a time when Marland Yarde was sent to the sin bin, but the hosts were unable to add more than a penalty during his absence.

However, Sam Smith was able to make their lead comfortable with a try with 10 minutes left to play, while the Exiles were unable to add to their score in the second half.
