Grant Millington touches down a late try as Castleford Tigers prevent Leeds Rhinos from moving top of the Super League following a 24-24 draw at Headingley.

Grant Millington scored a 76th-minute try as Leeds Rhinos were denied a West Yorkshire derby win in a dramatic 24-24 draw with Castleford Tigers at Headingley tonight.

The visitors travelled to Yorkshire this evening knowing that victory would see them move top of the standings, and Castleford reacted accordingly as Michael Shenton gave them a four-point lead within two minutes, with Sneyd adding the extras.

Leeds hit back, however, as Tom Briscoe touched down to restore parity, before Ryan Bailey crossed over on 16 minutes to give the Rhinos a slender advantage.

Nothing could separate both outfits at the break, as Weller Hauraki and Nathan Massey both ran in tries for Cas to leave the sides with 18 points apiece following Carl Ablett's earlier effort for the hosts.

Ablett bagged his second of the night on the hour mark of what proved a far cagier second-half display from both clubs.

However, a red card for Kevin Sinfield on 73 minutes reinvigorated the visitors' hopes, and Daryl Powell's side capitalised on their numerical advantage by touching down within three minutes of the dismissal, before Marc Sneyd added the crucial conversion.
