West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has reportedly had a meeting with London mayor Sadiq Khan to discuss safety measures and finances for the London Stadium.

The East London outfit were embroiled in controversy when a handful of pitch invaders disrupted the team's 3-0 defeat to Burnley on home soil.

Fans also forced co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold to leave the directors' box early due to the waves of verbal abuse that they received from the terraces.

Twenty people have since been arrested by police, while five have been issued with lifetime bans from attending all home and away matches.

According to BBC Sport, Brady has held a meeting with Khan, who recently claimed that the stadium operators would be responsible for covering the extra cost of increased security at future matches.

Three months ago, the London mayor revealed that he was taking full control of the Olympic ground, which is being rented to the Hammers for £2.5m a year on a 99-year lease.
