Tahitian FA alter points system to prevent 'sadness'

The Tahitian FA reportedly change their points system so that losing teams are still awarded to stop them from feeling "sad".

The Tahitian Football Association have reportedly altered their league points system in order to keep every club happy.

The governing body are said to have changed the rules so that losing teams pick up one point, while winners go home with four and a draw results in two points.

"We just don't want anyone to be sad," FA director Charles Ariiotima told ESPN. "With this system, even if a team loses every game, they won't be on zero points at the end of the season. Football, first of all is joy."

The new system will reportedly be implemented in all of their domestic divisions.
