Manchester United players lead tributes for Sir Alex Ferguson

The football world has been paying tribute to legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson this evening after news emerged that he has undergone emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage.

The 76-year-old was rushed to hospital today to undergo the procedure, which United have since revealed went well.

However, Ferguson - who won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns during his time in charge of United - remains in a serious condition and faces a "period of intensive care".
