Dustin Johnson has decided to take to the Augusta National course in an attempt to play through the pain barrier at The Masters.
On Wednesday, it emerged that the world number one had fallen down some stairs at the accommodation he has rented at the first Major of the year, and it was reported that he had sustained an injury to his back.
The American warmed up as normal ahead of his appearance on the first tee - which comes as part of the final group of the first round - although he appeared to be in some discomfort when making his way off the practice range.
However, it seems as though he will try to complete the opening 18 holes in Georgia in a bid to assess whether he is capable of making a bid to become the next winner of the Green Jacket.
Johnson heads into the event having won on his previous three appearances on the PGA Tour.
