Audi is gearing up for its Formula 1 entry next year with a striking red-and-black livery and the backing of German sportswear giant Adidas, according to Bild-Zeitung.
The German daily reports that Adidas, already a major new sponsor of Mercedes, will expand its F1 footprint by signing a second deal — this time with Audi — ahead of the 2026 season.
"The deal is finalised and is expected to be announced in the coming weeks," Bild revealed. "For Adidas, this is the second top deal in just a few months."
The move will see Germany's Nico Hulkenberg don Adidas-branded gear as he drives for the Audi-backed Sauber team, which will transition into full Audi works status from 2026.
Despite the shared branding, Adidas is reportedly paying Mercedes slightly more — €30 million compared to the €25 million Audi will receive in 2025.
According to Bild, the visual identity of Audi's F1 car is already taking shape.
"It is considered likely that the colours red and black will play a key role at Audi next year," the report noted. "Paddock rumours suggest these will be the main colours of the cars.
"All that's missing now is a golden future for the new German team."
