West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is reportedly a transfer target of his former boss Sam Allardyce at Sunderland.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly ramped up his pursuit to sign Diafra Sakho for a second time.

Allardyce was in charge at West Ham United when the striker arrived in London from Metz for £3.5m in 2014.

The frontman appeared to thrive under Allardyce's management, scoring 12 goals during his debut campaign in England.

However, injuries and a loss of form following Slaven Bilic's arrival meant that Sakho was unable to replicate those statistics in 2015-16, sparking rumours that he will be sold this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Allardyce is prepared to offer the 26-year-old a chance to rediscover his performance levels at the Stadium of Light.

The report adds that the Black Cats are willing to pay up to £10m for the Senegal international's signature.
