Championship outfit Ipswich Town run the rule over West Ham United striker Jordan Brown, who is expected to be released in the summer.

West Ham United centre-forward Jordan Brown has been handed a trial by Ipswich Town.

It is believed that the 19-year-old has been informed that his current contract at Upton Park, which expires in the summer, will not be renewed.

That has alerted the Tractor Boys, who included the England youth international in their Under-21s clash against Barnsley yesterday afternoon.

Former Arsenal trainee Brown has made one senior appearance for the Hammers, which came last August in a Europa League tie.
