Report: Martin Caceres close to West Bromwich Albion move

A report claims that West Bromwich Albion are close to announcing the signing of experienced defender Martin Caceres on a free transfer.

Free agent Martin Caceres is reportedly closing in on a move to West Bromwich Albion.

The 29-year-old is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Juventus at the end of last season.

Chelsea, Sunderland, Southampton and Swansea City have all been linked with the experienced defender, but according to Calciomercato, West Brom have won the race.

The Uruguay international has only made 23 first-team appearances over the last two seasons, but won five Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns during his time in Turin.
