Gareth Bale: 'Not the result that Wales wanted'

Wales attacker Gareth Bale takes the positives from his team's 3-0 defeat to Sweden in Sunday afternoon's international friendly in Solna.

Gareth Bale has admitted that Wales's 3-0 defeat to Sweden on Sunday was 'not the result that his team wanted', but he was pleased to return to the fold with his national team.

The Real Madrid attacker was introduced just past the hour in Solna as Wales played their final international friendly before Euro 2016 officially begins on Friday night.

Bale says that his side were not pleased with the defeat, but has taken the positives ahead of their Euro 2016 Group B opener against Slovakia on June 11.

Wales have now lost three of their last four international fixtures.
