Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu insists that he is not daunted by the prospect of facing Portugal's "world-class" defender Pepe in the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu has insisted that he is not daunted by the prospect of coming up against Pepe in the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

Robson-Kanu is currently without a club having been released by Reading at the end of last season, but he is expected to start up front when Wales take on Portugal in Lyon on Wednesday.

Pepe, by contrast, is a two-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, but Robson-Kanu believes that the Portugal centre-back will be more concerned by him.

"I don't know how much he will be looking forward to playing against me," Robson-Kanu is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"Portugal hold a bit of a high line and there will probably be a lot more space in behind. He will be hopefully seeing the back of my number a fair few times chasing after me.

"He is a world-class player. He knows what he is doing, but it holds no fear and I am relishing the game."

Robson-Kanu has scored two goals in this year's competition, including a memorable second as Wales beat Belgium 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Friday.
