Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan seals a season-long loan to United Arab Emirates side Al Ahli, just a few days after his reported move to Reading FC fell through.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has completed a loan move to United Arab Emirates side Al Ahli from China's Shanghai SIPG.

The 30-year-old returns to the country where he played for Al Ain - Al Ahli's rivals - between 2011 and 2015, and will wear the number 90 shirt.

Gyan, previously on the books at Sunderland, was reportedly poised to join Reading during the summer transfer window, but the move fell through amid reports of the player failing his medical.

The striker boasts 95 caps for Ghana and is the Black Stars' all-time top scorer with 48 goals.
