Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal says that he has received offers from abroad as the Welsh club contemplate his future at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal has revealed that he would prefer to manage in English football rather than take an offer from abroad.

With Swansea being relegated from the Premier League, it has been suggested that the Welsh club will part company with Carvalhal, whose contract expires in the summer.

Carvalhal has claimed that he has received approaches from clubs outside of Great Britain, but the Portuguese has said that he wants to continue his career on these shores.

The 52-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I think the minimum I must do is talk with the owners and understand what they want. After this, I will concentrate on my future. I will also talk with my agent There are things on the table to stay in England but I will think about the best decision.

"I have 100% respect and the first thing I must do is concentrate on the Swansea situation, talk with the owners. After this, I will decide - if we have an agreement to stay or to leave.

"I'm sure that I want to be in England. I've also got proposals to go abroad but I prefer to be in England."

Carvalhal has recorded eight wins and eight draws from his 25 matches in charge at the Liberty Stadium.
