Head coach Carlos Carvalhal claims that Swansea City are "underdogs" for their FA Cup fifth-round replay with Sheffield Wednesday.

Swansea City head coach Carlos Carvalhal has admitted that he will continue to rotate his squad for matches in this season's FA Cup.

On Tuesday night, Swansea face Sheffield Wednesday in their FA Cup fifth-round replay at the Liberty Stadium, with both teams playing for the chance to host either Tottenham Hotspur or Rochdale in the quarter-finals.

However, despite playing in a league above the Owls, Carvalhal has claimed that his side are "underdogs" to progress due to the Portuguese's intention to make changes to his starting lineup.

The 52-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I've said before and I continue to say, we are underdogs in this competition. Not because we are worse or better than opponents but because it's not our main competition We will not change nothing compared to what we said in the first game against Wolves, we said we don't take any kind of risk with the players.

"Of course after this we choose the best eleven and a competitive team to try and win a difficult game tomorrow. I look to the positives, all the squad is involved and some of the Under-23 players come in to play. The players who have not had the opportunity so far in the first eleven have a good opportunity to play in the cup."

The initial fixture at Hillsborough ended in a goalless draw.
