Stoke City manager Paul Lambert hints that Bojan Krkic could have a future with the Potters after meeting with the forward this week.

Stoke City manager Paul Lambert has revealed that he has been left impressed by Bojan Krkic.

Bojan has spent the season out on loan at Alaves, but the former Barcelona prospect has made just five starts and nine substitute appearances for the La Liga outfit.

The forward has been back at Stoke this week, resulting in a first meeting with Lambert, and the Potters boss has suggested that the Spaniard may have a part to play next season.

The 48-year-old is quoted by The Independent as saying: "I met him at the start of this week and I've got to say a top kid, a really nice guy. I know his career was massive but, for whatever reason, he went back out on loan. I thought he came across really well despite a difficult time in Alaves.

"He's got a good way about him, nice manners and a nice demeanour, and was a huge, huge talent. Whatever happened to him here I don't know, but I'm pretty sure in the next few weeks we'll talk again."

Bojan still has just over two years remaining on his contract at the bet365 Stadium.
