Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has spoken of his delight at joining the "prestigious club" of players to have scored 100 goals in the Premier League.

Crouch became just the 26th player to reach triple figures in the Premier League era with a seventh-minute strike against Everton during Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with the Toffees at the bet365 Stadium.

At 36 years old, the former England international also became the oldest player to reach the landmark, but he insists that retirement is not on his radar yet.

"It is a great moment for me personally. It is quite a prestigious club - some heroes of mine and some players I have looked up to in the past. It is great to be among them," he told the club's official website.

"I was under so much pressure to pull out the robot - to be honest, it was a little bit rusty! I think I'll put that one away now! I've got a few more years playing football I think. I'm still enjoying it, still loving it.

"The little spell I had out of the team was really frustrating, but I've managed to force my way back in and I want to stay here, and stay here for a few more years yet. I just keep going, playing as many games and scoring as many goals as I can."

Crouch, whose first Premier League strike came in 2002, has now scored four in his last five outings.
