Stoke City played host to Swansea City in the Premier League this evening with both sides looking for the win that would help propel them towards mid-table.
The Potters took the lead in the first half through former England striker Peter Crouch, but the Swans were dominant after the break.
Chico Flores headed Swansea's equaliser early in the second period, but neither team was able to find a winner.

7.14pmThis is a big match for both teams, with Swansea heading into the match in 12th place in the table, and Stoke are just one point behind them in 14th. A win for either team could see them move above West Ham in 10th, while a defeat would have them glancing nervously over their shoulders.
7.18pmThese two have every reason to be positive going into this one. Stoke have defeated Manchester United (which is no longer the feat it once was, admittedly) and drawn with Southampton in their last two matches, while Swansea thrashed their Welsh rivals Cardiff City 3-0.

7 minWayne Routledge sails in a cross from the left, looking for Wilfried Bony in the area, but Ryan Shawcross does well do intercept and clear his lines.

30 minSHOT! Jonathan Walters bears down on goal after Chico Flores fails to clear his lines. The Stoke man goes for goal, but his effort is parried by Vorm. Swansea scramble the ball clear at the second time of asking.
32 minPablo Hernandez threads a measured pass through to Wayne Routledge, but the move breaks down as the linesman's flag goes up. Great vision from the Spaniard, but his teammate's run was mistimed.
36 minBOOKINGS! Charlie Adams and Ashley Williams are both booked following a tussle off the ball. Nathan Dyer also got involved as both sets of players were involved in handbags, but Dyer escapes a yellow card.
38 minSHOT! Nathan Dyer is given acres of space along the right channel as the Stoke defenders back off. He lets fly from just outside of the area, but his effort flies wide of the far post. Begovic isn't happy with his defenders, and understandably so.
42 minWords are exchanged between Williams and Adam after the two collide. Tensions dangerously close to boiling over here.
44 minPablo Hernandez sends an in-swinging corner towards the centre of goal, but Begovic punches clear and Stoke start to break. The ball eventually finds its way into the arms of Vorm after Jonathan Walters swings a cross into the area.

8.50pmPeter Crouch's goal is the difference between Stoke City and Swansea City at the halfway point of this encounter. Mark Hughes will be pleased with his side's first half display, but he might want to have a word with the hotheaded Charlie Adam, who is unlikely to remain on the pitch for much longer unless he cools down.
8.52pmStoke deserve their lead having created the better chances, but Swansea certainly look capable of clawing their way back into this. It's been a close game with everything to play for in the second period.
