Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has backed them to finish in the top three again this season amid talk of a crisis at the club.

The North London outfit have won just once in their opening four Premier League fixtures and now sit ninth in the table after squandering a 2-0 lead against Arsenal yesterday to draw 2-2.

Current manager Mauricio Pochettino had also bemoaned the ongoing European transfer window, with Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose and Serge Aurier all linked with moves away from Spurs when the Argentine was powerless to bring in any replacements.

Talking on the talkSPORT, Redknapp said: "Poch is saying he's glad the window is closing today, he knows now where Eriksen is going to be and it looks like he's certainly going to be Tottenham.

"So I would think he can now get on with it, have a settled squad and know who's going to be available and who isn't.

"I don't see them finishing any worse than third again this year. They'll be there and maybe this will be their year to win a cup. There's nothing wrong at Tottenham, they're in great shape."

After the international break, Spurs host Crystal Palace before travelling to Olympiacos in their first Champions League group fixture of the new season.
